Château Gazin is located on the north-eastern part of the Pomerol plateau in Bordeaux, between Châteaux Petrus and Lafleur-Gazin, on a terroir of gravel with a subsoil of blue and green clay with iron oxides. L’Hospitalet de Gazin, the second wine of Château Gazin, has been produced since 1986 from the fruit of younger vines. It is an elegant, supple, charming wine, that can be enjoyed after just a few years in bottle. Expect lovely aromas of black plum, ripe cassis and cedar, and the palate was very smooth with a savory finish. -

Inspired by the historical winemaking techniques of Erni Loosen’s great-grandfather, the Appassionata Riesling GG is made in the same way as the Dr. Loosen Grosses Gewächs (“Great Growth”) Rieslings he produces in Germany. The GG designation indicates a dry-style wine from a vineyard of special distinction — in this case, the old-vine Medici vineyard, planted in 1976. We farm this exceptional site, which is just a few miles east on the Chehalem Mountain ridge. The wine is fermented in a 3,000-liter, neutral oak German Fuder cask. It rests on the full lees for two years, and is then held in bottle for three to five years before release. -

The plot "La Mazière" stands north of the village, along the Route des Grands Crus and spreads over 2.2 hectares. Its name comes from the latin word MACERIA that refers to an enclosure wall made in dry masonry and to some extent, also refers to the ruins of stone houses. Bouchard Aine & Fils Fixin La Maziere 2020 has an elegant ruby red color. On the nose the wine has a very charming bouquet dominated by little fruits aromas : such as black cherry, blackberry and blueberry. -

The Oze x Rose Junmai Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake produced in Gunma prefecture by Ryujin Shuzo Ryujin Shuzo's underground water is very soft and feminine, lending to their brewers the power to draw out the hidden flavors in their rice. Their aim is to create flavorful, mellow, high quality sake that warms the heart upon drinking. They like to combine their traditional skills and methods with the brewer's heart. To this end, they work hard to improve their skills every day to work towards the next challenge, and brew excellent beer in the off season. A lovely rose-colored sake that exists within a sphere of balance between sweet and tart, and has a flavor that resembles wild strawberries. Brewed with the exceedingly difficult-to-use red yeast, it has been said that if a Junmai Daiginjo is the most difficult grade of sake to brew, this Rose Junmai Daiginjo was 10 times as difficult, so many brewers are unable to work with it. Keep refrigerated. -

Yamagata prefecture has established itself as one of the top Ginjo and Daiginjo producing region of Japan and backs up the claim with locally developed rice strains best suited for the terroir. Yamagata is the first to implement Geographic Indication (GI). Sawane is currently in review process. The Gokujo has already been approved. Sawane means harmoniously brewed in Yamagata.Using locally developed Dewanosato rice and Yamagata Ginjo yeast, Sawane opens with a bright and fruity aroma of fresh pear and finishes with a crisp but fruity finish. Dry, clean, light-bodied and well-refined. This is a representative of the TanreiKarakuchi sake made in Niigata, the heartland of Japanese premium sake production. Kirinzan Shuzo is located near Mt. Kirin (= Kirin-zan) in Tsugawa, Niigata. Kirin is a mythical creature much like a flying unicorn, is believed to bring about happiness and luck. Food pairing:- Matches well with most of Japanese dishes, especially when served room temp or lukewarm, including raw/lightly grilled fish and shrimps, tofu, simmered vegetable, and sunomono.
- Bacon-wrapped Scallops - “The Classic” is paired with the soft, rich, nuttiness of the seared Sea Scallop because of the ricey, nutty aromas of the sake. The crispy, salty outer rim of seared bacon needs the strong more intensely forward flavors that the sake provides.

Each is handpicked and hand pruned; each bunch of grapes harvested at optimum ripeness. Production is tiny. Single vineyard wines are the focus. The winemaking process is gentle and uncomplicated. Custodianship remains with Grosset Wines from grape growing to in-house bottling; authenticity is assured. Delightful floral aromas with hints of lime juice and beeswax - though it's white flowers that dominate. It's almost joyful or playful. On the palate, tight, fine and intense; a pure and unevolved thread of lime juice at its core. It has depth of flavour and intensity in its infancy with the suggestion that these will become hallmarks of the aged wine. -

Takeda Black Skull Tokubetsu Honjozo MNG is made to highlight the local rice, you’ll get giant aromas that change on every revisit. There’s some Ginjo fruit plus a rich caramel leaping from the glass due to the Honjozo (brewer’s alcohol) used to extract extra aroma and texture. Late on the finish, look for cocoa powder. Enjoy as an aperitif with creamy cow’s milk cheeses, pastas like Carbonara and Primavera, foie gras or pizza. Serve at any temperature.
