98 points Robert Parker
"This sensational, opaque blue/purple-colored wine from Smith Haut Lafitte has a gorgeous floral nose with notes of graphite, blueberries, blackberries, and cassis that jump from the glass of this inky, very dense, yet strikingly pure wine. Light on its feet despite its stunning concentration and multi-layered mouthfeel, this wine has fabulous intensity, richness and length. Quite impressive, and still incredibly youthful, this is a superstar of the vintage, and capable of lasting another 25-30 years." -
Sale!Deep black color. The nose offers a broad palette of intense and well-defined aromas, with spicy black fruits like blackberries and black cherries on a background of subtle notes of cocoa and tobacco that accentuates the aromatic richness of this wine. On the palate, the attack is frontal, dense, and velvety, accompanied by fleshy and powerful tannins that result in a very complex, long, and extremely tasty structure. A wine of superb balance and subtlety that embodies this vintage at best
Wine Advocate - 97 points
"The 2020 Lafite Rothschild opens in the glass with a deep bouquet of cassis, black truffle, pencil shavings and violets. Full-bodied, fleshy and layered, its broad attack segues into an ample core of fruit framed by supple, melting tannins. Seamless, layered and complete, it's richer and deeper pitched than the 2019, and its notably high pH of 3.94 likely means it will never shut down. It's a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, incorporating just a touch more Merlot from the plateau of Carruades than the 2019."About Chateau Lafite-Rotschild

The vines have an average age of 35 years old. The wine is fermented in oak barrels before further barrel maturation, a part of it on lees. Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable ageing potential. Morgon is robust and structured and can mature for a minimum 5-20 years. Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south- to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villié Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. This wine is vinified in vats for 10 to 20 days and then matured in oak barrels before bottling. Very deep in color, this wine - blend of three single vineyards (Bellevue, Côte du Py & Roche noire) - shows a brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension. A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat. Wine & Spirits | 92 points: "Cool and lithe, this earthy Morgon has flavors of stewed plums and black currants, held by pointedly brisk tannins that have the chew of blueberry skins. It's a powerful gamay, with a scent one panelist called out as Himalayan kush - and offers a classic companion to charcuterie."
