The only white wine made by the Fernández family, Alejairén draws its name from the combination of its creator Alejandro and its grape variety Airén. Alejairén Crianza 2020 has an intense straw-yellow color. Clean and brilliant. On the nose it has balsamic and toasted notes, gentle hints of stone fruit and attractive touches of anise and lantana. On the palate the wine has a full, smooth mouth-feel but very fresh. A delicious lingering finish with notes of roasted almonds and stone fruit coming through. -

A world class Blend in the Bordeaux tradition. The Merlot offers up black fruit aromas such as black cherry and blackberry, all with wonderful freshness on the palate. The Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular from old pre-phylloxera vines, offers up aromas of red fruit (raspberry) and black fruit (blackcurrant, blueberry) with some ripe bell pepper and black olive notes. As it matures it develops pepper, crème de cassis, leather and charred notes (smoke, toast and chocolate). The Carmenère, brightly coloured with hints of purple, is rich with rounded tannins. There are delicate cherry aromas on the nose, subtly balanced out by spicy touches of black pepper. Freshness on the palate ensures a beautiful finish of black fruit, smoke, cocoa, leather and tobacco notes. -

Dassai 23 Junmai Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake that is highly regarded for its exceptional quality and complex flavor profile. It is produced by the Asahi Shuzo Brewery, located in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan, using only the finest rice and water. Junmai refers to sake that is made purely from rice, water, yeast, and koji (a type of fungus that converts starch to sugar). Daiginjo is a classification of sake that indicates it is made from highly polished rice (at least 50% of the outer layer of the rice grain is removed) and fermented at low temperatures for an extended period of time. Dassai 23 Junmai Daiginjo is made using Yamada Nishiki rice, which is considered one of the best sake rice varieties in Japan. It has a polished ratio of 23%, meaning that 77% of the outer layer of the rice grain has been removed. This allows for a pure and delicate flavor profile with a subtle sweetness and floral aroma. Domaine Anne Gros is well-known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir from the appellation of Vosne-Romanée. The owner Anne Gros is widely recognized as one of the leading winemakers in Burgundy. She took over the estate from her father, Francois Gros, in the late 1980s. Anne Gros is known for her meticulous approach to winemaking, with hand-picking the grapes, fermenting with natural yeasts, and using French oak barrels. She also practices minimal intervention in the vineyards, using sustainable and organic farming practices. This Bourgogne Chardonnay 2020 is special selection of fruit from vines planted close to Anne’s vineyards, just outside of Vosne. The wine is aged for one year in French oak casks (500L), with 25% new oak. Expect fresh acidity, medium body, with notes of citrus blossom and fresh pineapple, and a wonderful lacy texture. -
