Domaine Anne Gros is well-known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir from the appellation of Vosne-Romanée. The owner Anne Gros is widely recognized as one of the leading winemakers in Burgundy. She took over the estate from her father, Francois Gros, in the late 1980s. Anne Gros is known for her meticulous approach to winemaking, with hand-picking the grapes, fermenting with natural yeasts, and using French oak barrels. She also practices minimal intervention in the vineyards, using sustainable and organic farming practices. This Bourgogne Chardonnay 2020 is special selection of fruit from vines planted close to Anne’s vineyards, just outside of Vosne. The wine is aged for one year in French oak casks (500L), with 25% new oak. Expect fresh acidity, medium body, with notes of citrus blossom and fresh pineapple, and a wonderful lacy texture. -
The only white wine made by the Fernández family, Alejairén draws its name from the combination of its creator Alejandro and its grape variety Airén. Alejairén Crianza 2020 has an intense straw-yellow color. Clean and brilliant. On the nose it has balsamic and toasted notes, gentle hints of stone fruit and attractive touches of anise and lantana. On the palate the wine has a full, smooth mouth-feel but very fresh. A delicious lingering finish with notes of roasted almonds and stone fruit coming through. -

Salomon Undhof is an important, historic producer in the Kremstal region of Austria, producing world class Grüner Veltliner and Riesling wines from the slopes above the Danube river. Founded in 1792, the Salomon family is now in its eighth and ninth generation working these vineyards, and were among the first Austrian producers to export to the USA in the 1930s. The Salomon-Undhof Gruner Veltliner “Wachtberg” presents a vibrant and refreshing profile, characterized by its crisp acidity and minerality. On the nose, it reveals aromas of green apple, white pepper, and subtle hints of citrus. The palate is greeted with flavors of ripe pear, lemon zest, and a touch of honey, leading to a clean, lingering finish. This wine is a classic example of Gruner Veltliner's elegance and versatility. Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Semillon blocks, the grapes were both hand and machine picked before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a few months on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel. -

Inspired by the historical winemaking techniques of Erni Loosen’s great-grandfather, the Appassionata Riesling GG is made in the same way as the Dr. Loosen Grosses Gewächs (“Great Growth”) Rieslings he produces in Germany. The GG designation indicates a dry-style wine from a vineyard of special distinction — in this case, the old-vine Medici vineyard, planted in 1976. We farm this exceptional site, which is just a few miles east on the Chehalem Mountain ridge. The wine is fermented in a 3,000-liter, neutral oak German Fuder cask. It rests on the full lees for two years, and is then held in bottle for three to five years before release. -

On the nose the wine has aromas of ripe fruit such as apricot, tropical fruit and white peach, complemented by a floral touch. On the palate, the offers notes of white fruit and pineapple flavors. -

Kumeu River Village Chardonnay 2022 is made from grapes grown in Kumeu and Hawkes Bay. It was fermented in a mix of old French oak barriques (33%) and stainless steel tanks (67%). The barrel fermentation adds some richness but little oak flavor, while the tank fermentation allows the vibrant fruit to shine through.The wine has lively lime and lemon aromas, a flinty, mineral edge, and hints of fig and white peach. The 2022 Vintage was another good year, with Hawkes Bay fruit making up 55% of the final blend. The mid-palate is weighty with peachy ripeness and crisp acidity that gives the wine a refreshing, cleansing quality. This wine is enjoyable as an aperitif, and even better when paired with fish and shellfish. -
