Intensely ruby red in color, Tignanello 2020 has exceptional aromatic complexity: notes of ripe red fruit especially cherries, strawberries and blackberries are accompanied by delicate floral hints of violets, mallow blossoms and roses. Its bouquet is completed by notes of roasted coffee and cocoa powder. The vibrant entry gives way to a caressing layered mouthfeel. The wine closes with spicy notes of pepper and licorice that merge with pleasant sensations of aromatic herbs for a fresh, lengthy finish.
Aging took place in French and Hungarian oak barrels, partly new and partly second passage, for a total of 15 months: after an initial period of aging the lots separately, they were blended then completed barrel aging. Tignanello, made primarily with Sangiovese and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, underwent an additional 12-month period of aging in the bottle before being released. -

The Don Melchor Vineyard is located at the foot of the Andes Mountains on the northern bank of the Maipo River, 650 m above sea level. This is one of the coldest zones of the Alto Maipo Valley, which translates to great freshness to the wine. The 2019 vintage of Don Melchor is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, with only 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine has spent 15 months aging in French oak barriques. Expect a powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, herbal aromas of mint, and a dense palate with full body and firm tannins, with a long finish of vanilla and tobacco notes. Drink now, but will develop for another 15 years. -

Numanthia’s style depends on the selection of exceptional vines, aged between 50 and 100 years old, ungrafted and non-irrigated. Year after year, their low yields deliver grapes of extreme concentration with intense fruit and structure. It has a ripe cherry color with ruby reflections. Numanthia 2017 is expressive and deep, with hints of red berries, smoky notes, garrigue aromas and a background of sweet spices aromas. On the palate the wine has flavors of black fruit such as blueberries and blackcurrants, notes of violet and hints of black pepper, cloves and a tobacco leaf generate complexity and length, surrounded by a good acidity. -

Château Gazin is located on the north-eastern part of the Pomerol plateau in Bordeaux, between Châteaux Petrus and Lafleur-Gazin, on a terroir of gravel with a subsoil of blue and green clay with iron oxides. L’Hospitalet de Gazin, the second wine of Château Gazin, has been produced since 1986 from the fruit of younger vines. It is an elegant, supple, charming wine, that can be enjoyed after just a few years in bottle. Expect lovely aromas of black plum, ripe cassis and cedar, and the palate was very smooth with a savory finish. -

The Vivanco winery and its incredible museum is located in Briones, La Rioja. Founded by Pedro Vivanco, a pioneer among Spanish winemakers, the estate is now managed by his sons, Rafael and Santiago. Rafael is the winemaker and is focused on producing wines exclusively from native grapes using traditional techniques. This Vivanco Crianza is made with 95% Tempranillo, 2% Maturana Tinta, and 3% Graciano, and aged in both French and American oak barrels for 16 months. Fresh and floral, expect red berry aromas with spicy notes on the nose, a well-balanced palate with juicy acidity and medium chalky tannins. -
Famille J. M. Cazes Pauillac is third wine of Chateau Lynch-Bages, a true baby Lynch-Bages. The wine is a perfect expression of Pauillac with complex flavors of tobacco, cedar, and dark berries. Created in 2009, this wine is made with grapes from younger vines, and aged in used oak barrels, offering a ready-to-drink style. A blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, Pauillac 2018 is very concentrated, with high fine grained tannins and a long finish. Excellent quality!
