Ferreira Vintages are unique and exceptional Portos, at the pinnacle of excellence. With over 250 years of this tradition for excellence, Ferreira has one of the Porto sector's top cellars for vintage Portos, with wines dating back to 1815. This Vintage shows an intense, almost black colour. The aroma reveals great complexity and intensity with dried black fruits, such as plums and figs. This wine reveals balsamic notes of heather as well as hints of liquorice, cocoa and chocolate, thanks to its excellent maturation. Dense on the palate, with great volume, it has a well-integrated acidity that frames notes of milk chocolate and sour cherry. It's finish is one of great length, freshness and balance in the true Ferreira style.
Castello di Perno Barolo DOCG 2019
Castello di Perno is an up-and-coming estate in Piedmont of which wine lovers will be hearing a lot more in years to come. The wines are made by one of the region’s top winemakers, Gian Luca Colombo, and the style is described as "neoclassical" by Nick Jackson MW; not a traditionalist, not a modernist producer, but a new classic style of Barolo. The 2019 vintage of Castello di Perno is 100% Nebbiolo, aged for 24 months in Austrian oak casks and 12 months in bottle. Expect aromas of dried flowers, truffles and cranberries. The balanced palate has high tight-grained tannins and complex earthy and herbal notes, with an elegant long finish. We had the honor of hosting Castello di Perno at 305 Wines and tasted a range of their wines. All highly recommended.

Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo Sake Magnum
Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake that is highly regarded for its exceptional quality and complex flavor profile. It is produced by the Asahi Shuzo Brewery, located in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan, using only the finest rice and water. Junmai refers to sake that is made purely from rice, water, yeast, and koji. Daiginjo is a classification of sake that indicates it is made from highly polished rice (at least 50% of the outer layer of the rice grain is removed) and fermented at low temperatures for an extended period of time. Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo is made using Yamada Nishiki rice, which is considered one of the best sake rice varieties in Japan. It has a polished ratio of 45%. This allows for a rich and complex flavor profile with a smooth, clean finish. The sake is characterized by a delicate aroma and a balanced sweetness, with notes of pear, honeydew, and white peach. Overall, Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo is a highly sought-after sake that is often served as a special occasion drink or as a gift to those who appreciate fine sake.
