Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

By |November 26, 2019|Categories: , , , , |

The Don Melchor Vineyard is located at the foot of the Andes Mountains on the northern bank of the Maipo River, 650 m above sea level. This is one of the coldest zones of the Alto Maipo Valley, which translates to great freshness to the wine. The 2019 vintage of Don Melchor is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, with only 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine has spent 15 months aging in French oak barriques. Expect a powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, herbal aromas of mint, and a dense palate with full body and firm tannins, with a long finish of vanilla and tobacco notes. Drink now, but will develop for another 15 years.

Dominio de Pingus Pingus Ribera del Duero 2017

Dominio de Pingus 2017 is a premium Spanish red wine crafted by expert winemaker Peter Sisseck in the renowned Ribera del Duero region. Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes handpicked from old vines, only the highest quality grapes undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure exceptional taste and quality. The wine is aged in new French oak barrels for about 18 months, imparting a subtle complexity to the wine. This results in a deep, dark red wine with intense aromas of blackberries, black cherries, and plums, accented by hints of vanilla and spice. Dominio de Pingus 2017 has a full-bodied palate with rich and complex flavors of black fruit, licorice, and tobacco. The fine, silky tannins give it a long, lingering finish. The wine is well-balanced with perfect acidity, imparting remarkable freshness. This Tempranillo wine is considered one of the finest in Spain, receiving high ratings from wine critics, including a 96-point score from Wine Advocate. Dominio de Pingus 2017 can be enjoyed now, but also has aging potential to develop and mature over time. It is best paired with hearty meat dishes or strong cheeses.

Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne Blanc Les Charmes 2021

By |August 10, 2022|Categories: , , , , |

This cuvée is made from grapes located in the Macôn region in southern Burgundy. The terroir "les Charmes" is a terroir located in the east of the appellation.

This cuvée comes from a blend between some wine from 60 % Maconnais in the area of Lugny and 40% Montagny in the cote Chalonnaise. The wines from Lugny with the limestone give some freshness and some minerality of structure; we can find some aromas of citrus, grapefruit and white roses. The wines from Montagny give some note of ripe pear and peach. In the mouth, the wine is always fresh, young at heart, frisky, alluring, and rich in spicy back-flavours.
