Champagne Francis Orban Extra Brut NV

Original price was: $57.99.Current price is: $49.97.
A unique champagne in that it is composed of 100% Meunier, a grape that typically plays a supporting role in this region. Following a hand harvest the grapes go through alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats. Afterwards, the new wine is blended with an impressive 50% reserve wine from the 2012-2014 vintages. Once bottled, it spends almost three years on the lees, gaining complexity. As an extra brut it receives only a small amount of dosage at 3g/L. The aromatics are all ripe orchard fruits, bright citrus, white pepper and minerality. The palate is full of fresh fruit, despite the low dosage, and thanks to the pure Meunier fruit. It is nearly full bodied and has flavors of pear, cherry, plum, brioche and apple skin. Pair with tuna steaks or salty, nutty cheeses.

Champagne Dom Perignon P2 Vintage 2004

Original price was: $599.99.Current price is: $539.97.
Plénitude 2 is the second life of Dom Pérignon, patiently brought to a new elevation and set on a path to eternity. After close to 15 years of slow transformation in the cellars, Dom Pérignon expands its energy and rises to an apex of essential, radiant vitality, in its state of Plénitude. Elevated to new heights, it unfurls across every dimensions – wider, deeper, longer, more intense - and gifted further with an extended longevity. The 2004 fruit remains discreet, yet more clearly defined in this second life of the Vintage. Citrusy notes of pink grapefruit and blood oranges gently cede to figs. The additional time on the lees elevates the minerality of the vintage with the sublime maturity that is Dom Pérignon’s signature. Cocoa, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche and honey. The wine balances on the edge with immediacy and surprise, evolving between tension and weightlessness. It has an extreme, tactile precision, deep and sculptural. The sensations come together in a persistent and elegant finish, underlined by sappy, licorice notes.

Le Plus de La Fleur de Bouard 2014

Original price was: $99.99.Current price is: $83.97.

Made from the oldest vines growing in ground made up of large stones lying on top of clay, Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard expresses the full character of the property’s old Merlot grapes which are the only variety to be used. These very old vines obviously have very low yields of 15 to 29 hectolitres per hectare.

The wine is aged for a very long time: 33 months in barrels including 18 months on fine lees. The resulting wine is smooth and elegant. It has perfect balance and lovely freshness. This lush, mouth-filling wine reveals a wide range of aromas and outstanding elegance.

  • Cuvée Marie Antoinette is created with a fresh, youthful profile in mind. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tank with only about 25% of the total blend seeing any time in oak. Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Mont Demi-Sec 2019

Original price was: $49.99.Current price is: $39.97.
Domaine Huet is well known for the age worthy white wines made with Chenin Blanc. For many insiders, the argument over Vouvray’s greatest vineyard comes down to two sites: Le Mont and Clos du Bourg. Undisputably a grand cru vineyard, Le Mont enjoys a choice site on the Première Côte. With less clay and more stone than Le Haut-Lieu, Le Mont yields young wines of intense minerality. With age, the wines develop great length and finesse. This wine has notes of white flowers, citrus fruit and apple with great tension on the palate and a long mineral finish. Can be aged for at least 10-15 years.

The three taus, or crosses, are for the protectors of the three villages, Sainte Anne, Saint Roch, and Saint Sébastian.

Champagne Perrier-Jouet Brut Blanc de Blancs with 2 flutes

Original price was: $129.99.Current price is: $99.97.
*** THIS ITEM IS ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE STORE *** This Champagne Blanc de Blanc is crisp with a chalky mineral finish, perfect to pair with seafood. Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is a vibrant, spontaneous champagne brimming with crisp citrus and fresh floral notes. It is a homage to Maison Perrier-Jouët’s emblematic Chardonnay grape, which it interprets in a style unique. About Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs: After creating vintage Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs, Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps naturally wished to complete the classic collection with a single-grape cuvée destined to become the enduring expression of the House’s specialist savoir-faire. Indeed, with Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs, Maison PerrierJouët was perpetuating a tradition dating back to the early 20th century – the House introduced its first allChardonnay cuvées in the 1920s, long before such champagnes became known as “Blancs de Blancs”. To craft Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs, Hervé Deschamps blends Chardonnay grapes selected from several of the region’s finest terroirs with a small proportion of reserve wines to ensure absolute consistency of style and quality. After three years’ ageing on the lees in the PerrierJouët cellars, the cuvée is ready to be released, overflowing with freshness and vitality. Severine Frerson, cellar Master, joined Maison Perrier-Jouët in 2018 and became the first female Cellar Master in the Maison's 200 year history.

  • Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable ageing potential. Morgon is robust and structured and can mature for a minimum 5-20 years. Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south- to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villié Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. This wine is vinified in vats for 10 to 20 days and then matured in oak barrels before bottling. Very deep in color, this wine - blend of three single vineyards (Bellevue, Côte du Py & Roche noire) - shows a brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension. A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat. Wine & Spirits | 92 points: "Cool and lithe, this earthy Morgon has flavors of stewed plums and black currants, held by pointedly brisk tannins that have the chew of blueberry skins. It's a powerful gamay, with a scent one panelist called out as Himalayan kush - and offers a classic companion to charcuterie."

  • Les Perrières is 2.5 acres in size and is situated on the 'back side of the rock' with a sloping southeastern exposure just above the Le Clos parcel. The soil, which is derived from alluvial deposits, consists of a mix of deep silt and clay containing few stones. The subsoil features streaks of limestone and limestone marls, while the top layers, which are moderate in depth, are littered with stones on the surface. The vines have an average age of 35 years old. The wine is fermented in oak barrels before further barrel maturation, a part of it on lees. This Pouilly-Fuissé opens with creamy honeysuckle on the nose. A generous mouthfeel complements a nice ripeness and intense richness with notes of gingerbread and flowers. The wine is ample, smooth and well balanced, with a vivid, spicy finish. With age, it will gain in richness and fully reveal itself.
