Domaine Faiveley Montagny 2020 has clear pale yellow colors with a fresh nose combining floral and mineral notes. School friends Giambattista Cilia (C), Giusto Occhipinti (O) and Pinuccia Strano (S) began making wine for pleasure and ended up creating a company that would become one of the most well-known in Sicilia. They rented their parents’ lands and began harvesting, pressing grapes, and making wine. They continue to operate with this independence of spirit, doing largely without an oenologist and basing winemaking decisions on their considerable experience and intuition. COS is a lifelong project of expressing the terroir, passion, and culture of this part of Sicily in its truest form.

Clos Floridene Rouge 2019

Clos Floridene Rouge 2016 is a red wine from the Graves region of Bordeaux. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot  grapes. On the nose, this wine displays aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and vanilla, along with hints of tobacco, leather, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and a touch of oak. The tannins are firm and well-integrated, providing a long and complex finish. This wine is an excellent match for grilled and roasted red meats, such as beef or lamb, as well as hearty stews and strong cheeses. It can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years to come, as it has the potential to age and develop more complexity over time.
