Dassai Nigori 45 Junmai Daiginjo Sake

Original price was: $40.99.Current price is: $34.97.
Dassai 45 Nigori Junmai Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake produced by the Asahi Shuzo Brewery, located in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan. It is a unique variation of the Dassai 45 Junmai Daiginjo that incorporates the traditional Japanese brewing method of nigori, which involves leaving some of the rice sediment in the sake after it is pressed. Junmai refers to sake that is made purely from rice, water, yeast, and koji. Daiginjo is a classification of sake that indicates it is made from highly polished rice (at least 50% of the outer layer of the rice grain is removed) and fermented at low temperatures for an extended period of time. The sake is characterized by a rich and complex flavor profile, with a balanced sweetness and a smooth, clean finish. It has a subtle fruitiness, with notes of melon, pear, and banana, and a hint of umami that is typical of high-quality sake. Overall, Dassai 45 Nigori Junmai Daiginjo is a unique and highly sought-after sake that is often served as a special occasion drink or as a gift to those who appreciate fine sake. It pairs well with a variety of Japanese cuisine, particularly spicy dishes and rich, flavorful foods.

  • Rotlay is a parcel of vines within the larger Sonnenuhr vineyard, vinified separately for this bottling thanks to the unusual beauty and complexity of its wines. The Sonnenuhr (‘sundial’) vineyard itself is one of the most celebrated in the Mosel, and this precipitously steep part of it yields a wonderful example of the vineyard’s style in this cool corner of the Mosel: light but intensely flavored. 2020 was a warm vintage (the last in a trio of warm years) but with cooler weather at harvest. This ensured freshness and balance in the wines, which are remarkably easy to drink while maintaining all the tension and elegance typical of Mosel Riesling. The Rotlay in 2020 showcases the cool, understated style of Heinrichshof’s wines: delicate hints of spice, flowers and slatey mineral seduce rather than overwhelm the drinker. Additional complexity of flavor may be expected when aged for 4-5 years after the vintage.
  • Moulin d’Issan 2019 shows an expressive and crunchy red fruit character with a deep color. The finish is very well balanced ended with fine tannins.
  • Graham's Late Bottled Vintage 2017 is matured in wood for five years prior to being bottled ready for drinking. The Graham’s 2017 can be enjoyed anytime and pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate desserts as well as semi-cured and cured cheeses like Cheddar and Manchego. On the nose it has a lovely honeysuckle fragrance as well as hints of mint, along with bright, attractive tropical fruit notes in the background. On the palate it has notes of ripe black fruit combining with hints of kirsch. The fine-grained tannins give the wine balance and structure, whilst good acidity underscores the wine’s freshness.
  • Domaine de la Villaudiere Sancerre 2022 has a pale yellow color with aromas of white flowers and citrus. On the mouth the wine is round and fresh. Domaine de la Villaudiere Sancerre 2022 has good balance with a harmonious finish.

Original price was: $39.99.Current price is: $29.97.
The only Sake Brewery in Kochi City . They hope to make sake that is the best to pair with food - sake that is dry, yet with high acidity and umami - using the isolated Tosa Mountain range's pure spring water. This water contains no iron or manganese, which are detrimental elements in sake. The brewery is also quite particular about their ingredients - the rice is polished very carefully, and they use true Kumamoto Yeast. The aroma is modest and vaguely citrusy, and the flavor has a hint of sourness with solid umami, yet the finish is clean and pleasant. Enjoyed best with both Asian and western seafood or fried/fatty dishes.

  • Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable ageing potential. Morgon is robust and structured and can mature for a minimum 5-20 years. Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south- to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villié Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. This wine is vinified in vats for 10 to 20 days and then matured in oak barrels before bottling. Very deep in color, this wine - blend of three single vineyards (Bellevue, Côte du Py & Roche noire) - shows a brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension. A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat. Wine & Spirits | 92 points: "Cool and lithe, this earthy Morgon has flavors of stewed plums and black currants, held by pointedly brisk tannins that have the chew of blueberry skins. It's a powerful gamay, with a scent one panelist called out as Himalayan kush - and offers a classic companion to charcuterie."

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Reserve 2021

Original price was: $32.99.Current price is: $27.97.
Patty Green and Jim Anderson started Patricia Green Cellars in 2000 after walking away from a very successful winery that they had built up since its inception in 1993. As karma would have it they were offered the opportunity, out of almost nowhere, to purchase a winery and vineyard that were located in the area that would become to be known as the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The winery was built on the idea that there were great vineyards in Oregon that could produce uniquely excellent wines if people dedicated themselves to the farming and winemaking necessary to do so. Over many vintages that ideal expanded as experience was gained, the winery grew and the sophistication of the vision adapted to the times. The 2021 vintage is an unusual one where the high heat neither translated into dark nor high alcohol wines. Wines are particularly red fruited, ripe, supple and delicious at early ages in this vintage. Perfect for a bottling that values consumption at a youthful age.

    Winemaker notes:

Expressive and polished, with unfolding layers of blueberry, raspberry, green tea and orange peel, taking on complexity toward well-manicured tannins. Drink now through 2026. This is our gift to you. Enjoy!

  • Cantine Bertani has been making wines in the Veneto region of Italy for more than 150 years. They have consistently strived to combine tradition and research to create wines of uncompromising quality with a distinct identity. As part of the ripasso technique, the wine is 'passed over' dried grapes to contribute depth and character. Ripasso styles, such as this one, can therefore offer the best of both worlds: notes of ripe red cherry and underbrush (that you often find with Valpolicella), alongside those of spice and chocolate (often found with Amarone). This wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins, aged in barrels and cement vats before spending three further months in bottle prior to release. This rich Ripasso would complement a variety of Italian dishes, from grilled and roasted meats to risotto with porcini mushrooms.
  • Family vintners for over 120 years, the Catenas are recognized for their pioneering role in high-altitude viticulture in Argentina. The line of cassis continues onto the palate with ripe plums and succulent red cherries, the juicy fruit enlivened further by a refreshing, natural acidity. Fine-grained, powdery tannins layer and dissolve, carrying all that fruit towards the appetisingly clean, and dry finish.
