Sale!The Clos des Lambrays is one of the 33 Grands Crus of Bourgogne, located in one of the region’s most precious so-called “Climats”. The very first reference to « Clos des Lambrays » traces back to the fourteenth century. Archives of the Abbey of Cîteaux reveal its founding around 1365. An engraved milestone, still in its original location, commemorates the founding. The Domaine des Lambrays Clos Des Lambrays Grand Cru 2021 offers aromas of dark cherries, ripe plums, and blackberries with hints of violets, forest floor, and graphite. On the palate, it is balanced with bright acidity and very fine tannins, displaying flavors of red and black fruits, earthy notes, and a touch of spice and cedar from the long aging in French oak barrels. The finish is extremely long. This wine reflects the terroir of Clos des Lambrays and has 15-20 years of aging potential.

The vineyards are densely planted and farmed organically “sans certification” while the aim in the cellar is for balance and clear expression of terroir.The wine shows aromas and flavors of red berries, herbs, and purple flowers. The palate is rich with ripe fruit and medium weight with bright acidity and fine tannins. Aging in up to 25% new Burgundian pièce brings notes of vanilla, toast, and baking spices.
