The Oze x Rose Junmai Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake produced in Gunma prefecture by Ryujin Shuzo Ryujin Shuzo's underground water is very soft and feminine, lending to their brewers the power to draw out the hidden flavors in their rice. Their aim is to create flavorful, mellow, high quality sake that warms the heart upon drinking. They like to combine their traditional skills and methods with the brewer's heart. To this end, they work hard to improve their skills every day to work towards the next challenge, and brew excellent beer in the off season. A lovely rose-colored sake that exists within a sphere of balance between sweet and tart, and has a flavor that resembles wild strawberries. Brewed with the exceedingly difficult-to-use red yeast, it has been said that if a Junmai Daiginjo is the most difficult grade of sake to brew, this Rose Junmai Daiginjo was 10 times as difficult, so many brewers are unable to work with it. The second nose reveals the saline minerality, abundant and refined, an iodine-smoky harmony and a touch of liquorice. On the palate the crispy, precise attack is followed by exuberant aromas of fresh pineapple, freshly cut and crisp, passion fruit, kiwi and coconut, nuanced with tangy citrus notes. Château Gazin is located on the north-eastern part of the Pomerol plateau in Bordeaux, between Châteaux Petrus and Lafleur-Gazin, on a terroir of gravel with a subsoil of blue and green clay with iron oxides. L’Hospitalet de Gazin, the second wine of Château Gazin, has been produced since 1986 from the fruit of younger vines. It is an elegant, supple, charming wine, that can be enjoyed after just a few years in bottle. Expect lovely aromas of black plum, ripe cassis and cedar, and the palate was very smooth with a savory finish. -

Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Semillon blocks, the grapes were both hand and machine picked before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a few months on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel. -
Rotlay is a parcel of vines within the larger Sonnenuhr vineyard, vinified separately for this bottling thanks to the unusual beauty and complexity of its wines. The Sonnenuhr (‘sundial’) vineyard itself is one of the most celebrated in the Mosel, and this precipitously steep part of it yields a wonderful example of the vineyard’s style in this cool corner of the Mosel: light but intensely flavored. 2020 was a warm vintage (the last in a trio of warm years) but with cooler weather at harvest. This ensured freshness and balance in the wines, which are remarkably easy to drink while maintaining all the tension and elegance typical of Mosel Riesling. The Rotlay in 2020 showcases the cool, understated style of Heinrichshof’s wines: delicate hints of spice, flowers and slatey mineral seduce rather than overwhelm the drinker. Additional complexity of flavor may be expected when aged for 4-5 years after the vintage.
