  • Château La Gorce is an organically farmed Left Bank Bordeaux estate, classified as a Cru Bourgeois. The château is located in the Médoc appellation, the furthest north appellation in Bordeaux, a few miles north of St. Estèphe. Sandwiched between the Gironde river and the Atlantic ocean, with gravel, clay and limestone soils, Médoc wines are concentrated and savoury.

The Cru Bourgeois classification is a well-respected, long-standing classification for Left Bank Bordeaux wines, usually made from a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cru Bourgeois châteaux are typically considered one qualitative step below their Grand Cru Classé neighbors, but are well known for their exceptional value, frequently producing very affordable wines that can nonetheless easily improve for 15-20 years. The Cru Bourgeois classification is made every five years, and is based on a blind tasting by a professional panel as well as other criteria, ensuring quality.

La Gorce is a delicious, satisfying Bordeaux, rich yet dry, ripe but savory. It will appeal to lovers of classic Bordeaux and other French red wines.

  • Moulin d’Issan 2019 shows an expressive and crunchy red fruit character with a deep color. The finish is very well balanced ended with fine tannins.

Valle Dell’Acate Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG Classico 2019

Original price was: $32.99.Current price is: $29.97.
Valle Dell'Acate Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG Classico has aromas of ripe hints of red fruits, blackberries, raspberries and cherries; hints of spices including vanilla, licorice and cocoa. On the palate the wine is soft, full, velvety tannins, persistent and aromatic.
  • Pazo de la Cuesta Mencia 2020 has an intense red color, middle layer. On the nose the wine has aromas of strawberries and black currants with foral notes and some maturity characteristic. The attack is fresh, its roundness stands out in the mouth with a good balance between alcohol, acidity and tannicity.
  • The Black Slate Gratallops comes from a blend of older and younger vine fruit originating from Winemaker August Vincent's vineyards near the village. It showcases both the power, typical of Gratallops, as well as the charmingly elegant and rustic touch of Vicent's winemaking.
  • Sherazade 2021 has a brilliant ruby redcolor with violet reflections. The nose offers a pleasantly fruity bouquet with fragrant notes of red plum and cherry, combined with light spicy and balsamic scents. The palate is fleshy and perfectly reflects the bouquet revealing an extraordinary freshness. The fine–grained tannins, complete this fragrant and pleasant wine.
  • Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable ageing potential. Morgon is robust and structured and can mature for a minimum 5-20 years. Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south- to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villié Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. This wine is vinified in vats for 10 to 20 days and then matured in oak barrels before bottling. Very deep in color, this wine - blend of three single vineyards (Bellevue, Côte du Py & Roche noire) - shows a brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension. A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat. Wine & Spirits | 92 points: "Cool and lithe, this earthy Morgon has flavors of stewed plums and black currants, held by pointedly brisk tannins that have the chew of blueberry skins. It's a powerful gamay, with a scent one panelist called out as Himalayan kush - and offers a classic companion to charcuterie."

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Reserve 2021

Original price was: $32.99.Current price is: $27.97.
Patty Green and Jim Anderson started Patricia Green Cellars in 2000 after walking away from a very successful winery that they had built up since its inception in 1993. As karma would have it they were offered the opportunity, out of almost nowhere, to purchase a winery and vineyard that were located in the area that would become to be known as the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The winery was built on the idea that there were great vineyards in Oregon that could produce uniquely excellent wines if people dedicated themselves to the farming and winemaking necessary to do so. Over many vintages that ideal expanded as experience was gained, the winery grew and the sophistication of the vision adapted to the times. The 2021 vintage is an unusual one where the high heat neither translated into dark nor high alcohol wines. Wines are particularly red fruited, ripe, supple and delicious at early ages in this vintage. Perfect for a bottling that values consumption at a youthful age.

    Winemaker notes:

Expressive and polished, with unfolding layers of blueberry, raspberry, green tea and orange peel, taking on complexity toward well-manicured tannins. Drink now through 2026. This is our gift to you. Enjoy!
