Vintage: Champagne Cristal 2015 relies on essence of its terroir, originating from vineyard plots under cultivation since 1845, following sustainable viticultural practices. This vintage reflects a distinctive identity deeply entrenched in the land, yet aspiring towards celestial heights. Winemaking: In the crafting of Cristal 2015, 25% of the wine undergoes oak aging, while the prevention of malolactic fermentation is deliberate to safeguard the fruit's luminous, fresh, and pure characteristics. The wine undergoes a six to seven-year sur lattes aging period, followed by an additional six to twelve months of post-disgorgement maturation. Tasting Notes: Cristal 2015 is a Champagne that engages the palate with its complexity and finesse. Its aromatic profile reveals nuances of yellow fruit, toasted almonds, and wheat from the Chardonnay, seamlessly integrated with the Pinot Noir's succulent red fruit notes. On the palate, the acidity is invigorating, evolving into a delicate tactile sensation, offering a silky texture with notes of candied citrus, spices and a salty mineral long finish. Domaine Antonin Guyon Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2017 offers an exceptional range of Burgundies, mostly in the premier crus and the grand crus of the region. Corton is unique as it is the Côte de Beaune's only red grand cru appellation. This wine has a generous nose of juicy black fruit, cherries in particular. The palate is rich and full-bodied, offering vanilla, licorice, and an oak-spiciness from 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new. The concentration and broad tannin structure of this wine means it will continue to develop for the next 20 years. An excellent pairing for roasted meat, game, and most cheeses. -

Cantine Bertani has been making wines in the Veneto region of Italy for more than 150 years. They have consistently strived to combine tradition and research to create wines of uncompromising quality with a distinct identity. Grapes are dried in traditional drying rooms, where they rest on racks for 99 days before the winemaking process begins. An intense red color with hints of garnet, this wine offers succulent red plums and morello cherries on the nose, as well as notes of tea leaves, licorice, and spices. The Bertani Amarone has been described as “larger than life.” This power is balanced by elegance on the dry palate, which showcases red berries sweetened by soft notes of spices. Eight years of ageing in Slavonian oak barrels in conjunction with one further year of ageing in bottle have further contributed to this wine’s complexity. This wine can be easily matched with red meat, game and mature cheese, but is also perfect as a vino da meditazione – a meditation wine. -

Orin Swift Abstract 2021 has aromas of muddled blue and blackberries with a frame of dark chocolate brownie and seasoned leather. On the palate the wine has notes of ripe plum, boysenberry. Grippy, chewy tannins, the wine closes with pleasing sarsaparilla and blackcurrant. -
Château La Gorce is an organically farmed Left Bank Bordeaux estate, classified as a Cru Bourgeois. The château is located in the Médoc appellation, the furthest north appellation in Bordeaux, a few miles north of St. Estèphe. Sandwiched between the Gironde river and the Atlantic ocean, with gravel, clay and limestone soils, Médoc wines are concentrated and savoury.
The Cru Bourgeois classification is a well-respected, long-standing classification for Left Bank Bordeaux wines, usually made from a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cru Bourgeois châteaux are typically considered one qualitative step below their Grand Cru Classé neighbors, but are well known for their exceptional value, frequently producing very affordable wines that can nonetheless easily improve for 15-20 years. The Cru Bourgeois classification is made every five years, and is based on a blind tasting by a professional panel as well as other criteria, ensuring quality.
