Château La Gorce is an organically farmed Left Bank Bordeaux estate, classified as a Cru Bourgeois. The château is located in the Médoc appellation, the furthest north appellation in Bordeaux, a few miles north of St. Estèphe. Sandwiched between the Gironde river and the Atlantic ocean, with gravel, clay and limestone soils, Médoc wines are concentrated and savoury.
The Cru Bourgeois classification is a well-respected, long-standing classification for Left Bank Bordeaux wines, usually made from a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon. Cru Bourgeois châteaux are typically considered one qualitative step below their Grand Cru Classé neighbors, but are well known for their exceptional value, frequently producing very affordable wines that can nonetheless easily improve for 15-20 years. The Cru Bourgeois classification is made every five years, and is based on a blind tasting by a professional panel as well as other criteria, ensuring quality.
La Gorce is a delicious, satisfying Bordeaux, rich yet dry, ripe but savory. It will appeal to lovers of classic Bordeaux and other French red wines.

Cantine Bertani has been making wines in the Veneto region of Italy for more than 150 years. They have consistently strived to combine tradition and research to create wines of uncompromising quality with a distinct identity. Grapes are dried in traditional drying rooms, where they rest on racks for 99 days before the winemaking process begins. An intense red color with hints of garnet, this wine offers succulent red plums and morello cherries on the nose, as well as notes of tea leaves, licorice, and spices. The Bertani Amarone has been described as “larger than life.” This power is balanced by elegance on the dry palate, which showcases red berries sweetened by soft notes of spices. Eight years of ageing in Slavonian oak barrels in conjunction with one further year of ageing in bottle have further contributed to this wine’s complexity. This wine can be easily matched with red meat, game and mature cheese, but is also perfect as a vino da meditazione – a meditation wine. -

Domaine Antonin Guyon Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2017 offers an exceptional range of Burgundies, mostly in the premier crus and the grand crus of the region. Corton is unique as it is the Côte de Beaune's only red grand cru appellation. This wine has a generous nose of juicy black fruit, cherries in particular. The palate is rich and full-bodied, offering vanilla, licorice, and an oak-spiciness from 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new. Aged following a biological ageing, under a veil of yeast called “flor” in the cool, humid, salty air of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a fishing town on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river. Bright yellow colour with golden reflections. This Manzanilla is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and flor aromas. Bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate. Delicate and refreshingly acid with a lingering aftertaste. Papirusa means “elegant and beautiful”. It was the name of the doll that Emilio Lustau gave the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, first manager of Bodegas Lustau in the ’40s.Bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate.

Graham's Late Bottled Vintage 2017 is matured in wood for five years prior to being bottled ready for drinking. The Graham’s 2017 can be enjoyed anytime and pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate desserts as well as semi-cured and cured cheeses like Cheddar and Manchego. On the nose it has a lovely honeysuckle fragrance as well as hints of mint, along with bright, attractive tropical fruit notes in the background. On the palate it has notes of ripe black fruit combining with hints of kirsch. The fine-grained tannins give the wine balance and structure, whilst good acidity underscores the wine’s freshness. -

Barolo Perno Riserva, it is the first and only one Barolo Riserva from Castello di Perno, a small parcel of 0.3 hectares in the CRU Perno always located in Monforte d'Alba which is producing only a total of 1100 bottles every year. This parcel is the oldest in Perno called "vigna della Croce". The vineyards have been planted in 1940 and the Nebbiolo is 100% Michet clone (not always easy to find 100% pure Michet in a single vineyard) and the vineyards are in front of Bricco Rocche in Castiglione Falletto, thanks to this influence of mineral soil between limestone and sand, the beautiful exposition and the good altitude of 430 meters we obtain a Barolo with a plenty of elegance, freshness and aromaticity. The wines show generous, juicy fruit with a proper tannic core and plenty of the energy that is in short supply in 2017. Castello di Perno has a vineyard plot in the cru of Perno. With its almost 200 ha (494 acres) Perno is pushing the 'cru' concept a little, but the Castello di Perno plot, sitting on the crest of the hill, truly stands out. From it in 2017 a fantastic, vibrant Barolo with crunchy red fruit has been produced -

On the palate the wine has a round entrance, medium enveloping body, crispy carbonic texture. In the retronasal route citrus memories return, the apple, the almond. Very refreshing and long nish. It is aged for 6 months on lees, half in stainless steel vats and half in barrels previously used for one wine, for the classified 1st Growth in 1855. Le G de Chateau Guiraud 2022 has a pale yellow color. On the nose the wine has notes of passion fruit and pink grapefruit. -

The brewery was established in 1902, and the Nanbu Bijin brand name came to be in 1951. The Iwate area used to be called Nanbu (South), and is a place rich with nature, abundant water and fertile soil. In Japan, most breweries of the time made quite rough, inelegant, sweet sake, but this brewery wanted to make clean & beautiful sake like a fair southern maiden. Hence, the name Nanbu Bijin, or Southern Beauty.
Made from 100% Yamada Nishiki rice, the label was designed to evoke the image of a single grain of this pure white Sakamai (sake rice). Has an elegant Ginjo aroma, an a pillowy mouthfeel. Splendidly balanced. -

Tatenokawa was the first Sake Brewery in Yamagata who decided to brew exclusively Junmai Daiginjo class sake, and hope to continue to do so while providing their high quality merchandise at an affordable price. Nearly all of the rice they use to brew is locally grown Miyama Nishiki and Dewasansan. In 2014, ANA International picked this sake for their First Class and Business Class sake. Using the locally grown Dewasansan sake rice and only native Yamagata Kobo, Tatenokawa achieves an elegant sake with surprising complexity and energy. Relatively high acidity with a grapefruit peel-like aroma and flavor. Just the right amount of sweetness offers balance and leads every sip into a refreshing finish.
