Out of stockThe Rare Millésime 2008 has been crowned the "Best Champagne of the World" by the BEST WINE OF THE WORLD COMPETITION 2021. It has also received 97 Points from WINE SPECTATOR and was a trophy winner at the INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE. Enjoy now or can age until 2050 and beyond. The initial nose shines by the pure vivacity of this vintage. As Rare Millésime 2008 gradually warms in the glass, a vast range of orange blossom, hyacinth and white flowers is released. This leads to the delicacy of vanilla blossoms, a touch of fresh coconut, aromas of just ripe Williams pear and fresh almond, enhanced by notes of tangerine and blackcurrant buds. The second nose reveals the saline minerality, abundant and refined, an iodine-smoky harmony and a touch of liquorice. On the palate the crispy, precise attack is followed by exuberant aromas of fresh pineapple, freshly cut and crisp, passion fruit, kiwi and coconut, nuanced with tangy citrus notes. These combine with plush spring-like flavours with unparalleled length. The finish, with remarkable saline and iodine notes, perpetuates the journey into an endless spring.

Sale! The Château Gazin vineyards in Pomerol, which were once part of the famous Templars property, occupy 45 acres next to Château Petrus and Château l'Evangile. Most Pomerol improve greatly with age. The wine offers a wide aromatic range of red and black fruit which harmonizes with their intense crimson or garnet red color. It typically offers hints of plum, chocolate, coffee or liquorice, with aromas of almonds, toast, tobacco and vanilla, and a minty freshness. With maturity it develops a spicy nose, with a hint of truffles, notes of undergrowth, game, fur and leather.

Sale!Charmes-Chambertin is one of the eight Grands Crus of the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, the most northern of the great communes of the Côte de Nuits. The vineyard of Charmes-Chambertin lies on an east-facing slope on a site that was formerly a field of grain (Charmes comes from “chaume,” meaning thatch). The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to one month, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for 18 to 20 months before bottling. This wine is deeply colored, with an intense bouquet of black currants and other black and red berries. The mature wine often has aromas of musk or licorice. Made for aging, the wine will improve for 20 to 25 years in the bottle. Serve with elaborate and strongly flavored foods such as mutton, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin, game or game pâté and strong cheeses.
