This fungus, known as Botrytis cinerea, affects the grapes and concentrates their sugars, resulting in a wine with rich sweetness and complex flavors. Château Cantegril Sauternes 2018 is primarily made from Sémillon grapes, which contribute to the wine's lush and opulent character. It also includes smaller proportions of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, adding to the wine's aromatic profile and overall balance. Located in Sauternes, on one of the greatest white wine terroirs in France , the Clos des Lunes is a magnificent rolling vineyard planted with old sémillon and sauvignon blanc vines. On very old vines, some perfectly golden clusters are chosen and delicately sorted grain by grain, by expert hands.Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent 2021 has a light yellow color with pale green tints. It has intense and complex nose of exotic white fruits and citrus fruit mixed with floral notes of linden and acacia. The palate is rich, generous, ample and intensely fruity, with very good tension. The Sauvignon Blanc lemon juice deli- cately coats the exotic sweetness (lychee, mango) of the well-ripe Semillon. Mineral notes bringing good salinity added to this cocktail, to serve a beautiful finish. -

A vintage marked by frost on the 21st of April that fortunately spared several plots of slope vineyards at Yquem. Summer was warm and dry, but September was rainy. The harvest was over in three passes which brought in only a small amount of grapes, but of very good quality. This experience shows what an advantage great terroirs have when spring frosts occur. In light of the weather that year, the calibre of 1991 Yquem exceeded our expectations, and benefited from a particularly fine summer. -

Made from the oldest vines growing in ground made up of large stones lying on top of clay, Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard expresses the full character of the property’s old Merlot grapes which are the only variety to be used. These very old vines obviously have very low yields of 15 to 29 hectolitres per hectare.
The wine is aged for a very long time: 33 months in barrels including 18 months on fine lees. The resulting wine is smooth and elegant. It has perfect balance and lovely freshness. This lush, mouth-filling wine reveals a wide range of aromas and outstanding elegance.
