A world class Blend in the Bordeaux tradition. The Merlot offers up black fruit aromas such as black cherry and blackberry, all with wonderful freshness on the palate. The Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular from old pre-phylloxera vines, offers up aromas of red fruit (raspberry) and black fruit (blackcurrant, blueberry) with some ripe bell pepper and black olive notes. As it matures it develops pepper, crème de cassis, leather and charred notes (smoke, toast and chocolate). The Carmenère, brightly coloured with hints of purple, is rich with rounded tannins. There are delicate cherry aromas on the nose, subtly balanced out by spicy touches of black pepper. Freshness on the palate ensures a beautiful finish of black fruit, smoke, cocoa, leather and tobacco notes. -

In the beginning of the Showa era, the emperor used Born sake for Japan's ceremonies, festivals, and guests as Japan's representative brand. Matures for two years at under zero degrees Celsius. An elegant, flowery bouquet, clean finish. It pairs well with delicate Japanese dishes, dishes cooked with butter, cheese and olive oil. -

One single batch of Merlot, though of remarkably high quality, finally went into the blend, but it only represents 4% of the whole… It is the first time we have had so little. The Petit Verdot (4%) and the Cabernet Franc (2%) make up their usual proportions; they each bring added complexity that is difficult to define, but is most certainly a necessary contribution to the character of the wines of Château Margaux. The Cabernet Sauvignon therefore takes up almost all of the place: 90%! It brings to the 2006 an extraordinary aromatic finesse, a tannic richness that is second only to the 2005; and a particularly dense and tight-knit texture. The finish is very long, fresh and lively, a little bit firm, but already packed with flavour. 2006 is therefore a great Château Margaux vintage. -

Beautiful dark red colour with glints of black. The nose is still closed but presents all the characteristics of superb aromatic potential. Depth, complexity and oaky notes are already perfectly integrated. On the palate the attack is soft and silky. Then, gradually, with the same softness, the wine invades the mouth, slowly revealing its fresh character, typical of Duhart-Milon’s late-ripening terroir. A very dense wine with tight, delicate tannins creating excellent length on the palate. All the necessary qualities for a very promising future. -

"The 2020 Lafite Rothschild opens in the glass with a deep bouquet of cassis, black truffle, pencil shavings and violets. Full-bodied, fleshy and layered, its broad attack segues into an ample core of fruit framed by supple, melting tannins.
