Honkara is an abbreviation for “Honjozo Karakuchi”, which is a classic type of sake. Honjozo’s are rich and robust. “Karakuchi” means it is dry. This Honkara is a wonderful representation of the style. It has a light and silky mouthfeel, some marshmallow sweetness, melon, and a crisp dry finish. It can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature or gently warmed. Food Pairing: Serve chilled. Great with yakitori, mushrooms or other grilled meats. -
Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable ageing potential. Morgon is robust and structured and can mature for a minimum 5-20 years. Purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 2001, this south- to southeast-facing vineyard is situated on the slopes over the village of Villié Morgon. It covers 87.5 acres of the Morgon appellation, one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. This wine is vinified in vats for 10 to 20 days and then matured in oak barrels before bottling. Very deep in color, this wine - blend of three single vineyards (Bellevue, Côte du Py & Roche noire) - shows a brilliant and large aromatic palette (spices, ripen black fruit). On the palate, the tannins are still a bit firm - which indicates the potential of ageing – and they are well balanced by a great tension. A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat. Wine & Spirits | 92 points: "Cool and lithe, this earthy Morgon has flavors of stewed plums and black currants, held by pointedly brisk tannins that have the chew of blueberry skins. Founded in 1849, the Tajima Brewery is managed by the 6th generation of the family. The brewery specializes in the production of yamahai sake. The traditional yamahai method of brewing sake takes 3 times longer than modern methods, but it gives the sake an exceptionally layered and complex flavor. The Tajima family named their sake Fuku Chitose to express their wish that their sake will always bring happiness to those who drink it. Fuku means “happiness” while chitose means “forever”.
Tasting Note: Savory aromas of pumpkin and spices with complex earthy flavors. The finish is dry and long lasting.
Food Pairing: Serve at room temperature or warmed with slow-cooked pork belly, braised short rib, and nutty cheese.

Rotlay is a parcel of vines within the larger Sonnenuhr vineyard, vinified separately for this bottling thanks to the unusual beauty and complexity of its wines. The Sonnenuhr (‘sundial’) vineyard itself is one of the most celebrated in the Mosel, and this precipitously steep part of it yields a wonderful example of the vineyard’s style in this cool corner of the Mosel: light but intensely flavored. 2020 was a warm vintage (the last in a trio of warm years) but with cooler weather at harvest. This ensured freshness and balance in the wines, which are remarkably easy to drink while maintaining all the tension and elegance typical of Mosel Riesling. The Rotlay in 2020 showcases the cool, understated style of Heinrichshof’s wines: delicate hints of spice, flowers and slatey mineral seduce rather than overwhelm the drinker. Additional complexity of flavor may be expected when aged for 4-5 years after the vintage. -

Located in Sauternes, on one of the greatest white wine terroirs in France , the Clos des Lunes is a magnificent rolling vineyard planted with old sémillon and sauvignon blanc vines. On very old vines, some perfectly golden clusters are chosen and delicately sorted grain by grain, by expert hands.Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent 2021 has a light yellow color with pale green tints. It has intense and complex nose of exotic white fruits and citrus fruit mixed with floral notes of linden and acacia. The palate is rich, generous, ample and intensely fruity, with very good tension. The Sauvignon Blanc lemon juice deli- cately coats the exotic sweetness (lychee, mango) of the well-ripe Semillon. Mineral notes bringing good salinity added to this cocktail, to serve a beautiful finish. -
