Numanthia is a subtle blend of grapes from more than 100 parcels of the finest terroirs offering unique balance, elegance and power. Numanthia’s style depends on the selection of exceptional vines, aged between 50 and 100 years old, ungrafted and non-irrigated. Year after year, their low yields deliver grapes of extreme concentration with intense fruit and structure. It has a ripe cherry color with ruby reflections. Numanthia 2017 is expressive and deep, with hints of red berries, smoky notes, garrigue aromas and a background of sweet spices aromas. On the palate the wine has flavors of black fruit such as blueberries and blackcurrants, notes of violet and hints of black pepper, cloves and a tobacco leaf generate complexity and length, surrounded by a good acidity. -

Castillo Ygay is always made from grapes sourced from La Plana, a 40-hectare (98-acre) vineyard, planted in 1950 and located at 485 meters altitude, the highest area of Ygay Estate; the 300-hectare estate surrounding the winery in Rioja Alta.The tempranillo is aged for 28 months in 225-litre American oak barrels and the mazuelo is aged for 28 months in 225-litre French oak barrels.Marques de Murrieta Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial 2011 has aromas of ripe cherry, blueberry and cassis with refined hints of garrigue, Mediterranean herbs, black pepper, clove and mocha. Pazo de la Cuesta Mencia 2020 has an intense red color, middle layer. On the nose the wine has aromas of strawberries and black currants with foral notes and some maturity characteristic. The attack is fresh, its roundness stands out in the mouth with a good balance between alcohol, acidity and tannicity. -
The Vivanco winery and its incredible museum is located in Briones, La Rioja. Founded by Pedro Vivanco, a pioneer among Spanish winemakers, the estate is now managed by his sons, Rafael and Santiago. Rafael is the winemaker and is focused on producing wines exclusively from native grapes using traditional techniques. This Vivanco Crianza is made with 95% Tempranillo, 2% Maturana Tinta, and 3% Graciano, and aged in both French and American oak barrels for 16 months. Fresh and floral, expect red berry aromas with spicy notes on the nose, a well-balanced palate with juicy acidity and medium chalky tannins. -

Comando G’s “village” wine, La Bruja de Rozas, is sourced from several vineyards in the vicinity of Las Rozas de Puerto Real. Pure Garnacha from granitic sand, La Bruja is perfumed and lively with plenty of fruit with a backbone of acidity and fine tannin. Hand-harvested, natural yeast fermentation and a long maceration followed by nine months in oak vats. -

Founded in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, in the heart of Sherry country, it is dedicated to the production of high quality sherries. The Sherry triangle, made up of Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Sanlucar de Barrameda, has a unique microclimate influenced by the surrounding Atlantic Ocean and Guadalquivir and Guadalete rivers. Production is dominated by the Palomino variety, and vines are planted in the white Albariza soil, with high chalk content which is excellent for retaining moisture. These soil conditions, combined with over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, fresh, humid breezes from the west (poniente) and warm, dry breezes from the east (levante) have formed the perfect marriage with the Palomino variety to produce an array of sherry styles.All sherries are aged following the traditional Solera system where the wines are blended in 600 litre American oak casks. Many styles are produced with distinctive characters depending on whether they have been aged under the influence of the flor (a layer of natural yeast) or as an oloroso (in contact with oxygen).
