Miami, FL-Today the Florida Wine Academy announced the launch of their online wine shop 305 Wines. 305, one of Miami’s area codes, pays homage to the city where the new business is based. “We are very proud of this exciting new part of our business, and proud of being part of Miami’s growing wine scene” said Alessandra Esteves, co-founder and Director of Education for the academy.
Florida Wine Academy is the leading provider of wine, sake and spirits education in the region. The idea for starting a wine shop in Miami came from the desire to offer a new service to the school’s students and clients. “Our mission is to continually educate consumers and offer products that are specifically aimed at expanding their knowledge” explained Ms. Esteves. “What will set us apart are the uniquely curated wine packages that can be used to compare varietal wines from different regions, train students for blind tasting exams, and learn how to identify different winemaking techniques.”
305 Wines’ initial portfolio includes more than a dozen champagne producers including Charles Heidsieck, Champagne Gosset and Krug, as well as high-end Italian wines such as Ornellaia and Sassicaia. Two different vintages of the always impressive Chateau Lynch Bages demonstrates the quality of the Bordeaux section of the list, and wine lovers will have no shortage of fresh and delicious rosés to choose from. Other items of note are unique items like a 5 puttonyos Tokaji Aszu and premium sakes selected by Florida Wine Academy’s Master Sake Sommelier, Guilherme de Macedo.
In addition to being able to make purchases online at 305wines.com students who attend classes at the academy will have the option of buying the wines or sakes showcased that day.
Florida Wine Academy is an Approved Program Provider for WSET, Wine Scholar Guild, and the Sake Sommelier Association.
