Krug Grande Cuvée is one of the most recognized prestige Champagnes in the world, and every new edition tells a slightly different story.

The Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Edition is built around the 2016 vintage and blends 146 wines from 11 different years, with the oldest dating back to 1998.

Reserve wines make up 42% of the final blend, adding depth, complexity, and the consistency that defines Krug Grande Cuvée.

The final blend is 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, and 20% Meunier.

What Makes Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Edition Special?

Krug vinifies wines from individual plots separately, allowing the house to understand the character of each parcel before creating the final blend. Many of the wines are fermented in small oak barrels.

The 172ème Edition then spent more than seven years aging in Krug’s cellars before release.

The result is a Champagne with incredible complexity, freshness, and precision.

Expect citrus, white flowers, toasted brioche, almond, marzipan, spice, and roasted nuts, followed by a long, saline finish.
