The Best Italian Wines You Can Buy in Miami — All in One Place
305 Wines in Miami carries one of South Florida's most comprehensive Italian wine selections — from $13 Prosecco to rare vintages of Sassicaia, Masseto, and Biondi Santi. Shop online or in-store at South Dixie Hwy.
Italy makes more wine than any country on earth — from the Alps to Sicily, across 20 regions and hundreds of native grape varieties. Finding a truly curated Italian selection in Miami used to mean ordering online and waiting. We built ours so you don't have to.
At 305 Wines, we carry over 85 Italian wines right now, with bottles starting at $13 and going all the way up to collectible-level Masseto and Dal Forno Romano. Here's a look at what we have and why we put it together this way.
Piedmont: Barolo, Barbaresco, and Beyond
Piedmont is home to Nebbiolo — Italy's most noble red grape and the backbone of Barolo and Barbaresco. These are wines that reward patience, and we carry them from some of the most respected names in the region.
Barolo is on the shelf from Vajra, Vietti, Damilano (Cannubi single vineyard), and Castello di Perno (a 2017 Riserva). Prices range from $43 to $170. Barbaresco is represented by Moccagatta 2022 at $53 — a family producer with old-vine fruit in some of the appellation's best sites.
For more approachable Piedmontese reds, we carry Vietti's Barbera d'Asti Trevie 2023 at $23 and the Favaro Canavese Rosso F2 2022 — a rare, small-production Erbaluce-based blend from Canavese at $33, one of the more interesting bottles in our whole Italian section.
On the white side, Villa Sparina Gavi di Gavi 2024 ($19) is a clean, mineral-driven Cortese from one of Gavi's leading estates.
Tuscany: From Chianti Classico to the Super Tuscans
Tuscany is where Italian wine's international reputation was built — and where it keeps getting reinvented. Our Tuscan selection covers the full range.
Chianti Classico is in stock from Volpaia, Rocca delle Macie (2024, $23), and Felsina Berardenga (half bottle, 2020). For more everyday Sangiovese, Cala Civetta IGT 2023 is $19.
Brunello di Montalcino is the heart of the section. We carry multiple producers and vintages including: Caparzo 2019, La Fiorita 2022 (Rosso di Montalcino), Banfi 2020, Antinori Pian delle Vigne (2019 and 2020), Il Marroneto 2019, Il Marroneto Madonna delle Grazie 2019, Podere Giodo 2019, Canalicchio di Sopra 1995, Biondi Santi Tenuta Greppo 2019, Biondi Santi Rosso di Montalcino 2021, and Poggio di Sotto 2020. Prices go from $33 to $291 for Biondi Santi.
Super Tuscans are well covered. Sassicaia 2011 and 2022, Tignanello 2022, Solaia 2020, Masseto 2017, Ornellaia's second wine (Le Serre Nuove 2023), Tenuta Luce 2018, and Fontodi's Flaccianello della Pieve 2020 are all on the shelf. These are the wines that put Tuscany on the world map and they're hard to find in one place at competitive prices.
Vin Santo makes an appearance too — Bellini Vin Santo del Chianti 2015 ($30) for the full Tuscan experience.
The Veneto: Amarone, Valpolicella, and Prosecco
Veneto is one of Italy's highest-volume regions, but also home to some of its most ambitious wines.
Amarone della Valpolicella is serious business here. We carry Cesari 2020, Bertani Classico 2015, Allegrini Classico 2020, and Dal Forno Romano Monte Lodoletta 2016 — the last of which is one of the most sought-after Amarones produced, at $480. Masi Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico 2024 offers the other end of the spectrum at $20.
For Prosecco, we carry Franzi e Cratzi (full bottle and 200ml), Bisol Jeio Prosecco Superiore Valdobbiadene, and Franzi e Cratzi Rosé — from $6 to $22.
Gradis'Ciutta Collio Pinot Grigio 2023 ($22) comes from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, just over the border — a much more serious Pinot Grigio than what most people are used to seeing.
Sicily and the Islands: Native Grapes, Volcanic Terroir
Sicily has had a quiet revolution over the past 20 years, and we've leaned into it.
Etna is represented by Benanti Etna Bianco 2024, Tenuta Tascante Ghiaia Nera Etna Rosso 2022, and Maugeri Contrada Volpare in both Etna Bianco Superiore and Etna Rosato 2024 — the latter two from a tiny single-contrada producer.
Donnafugata appears twice: the Dolce & Gabbana Rosé 2024 and the Ben Rye Passito di Pantelleria 2023 half bottle — Sicily's great dessert wine, made from Zibibbo on a volcanic island off the coast of Africa.
For native reds, we have Gorghi Tondi Nero d'Avola 2024 ($20), Tenuta Regaleali Perricone 2022 ($22), and the Gorghi Tondi Sauvignon Blanc Maremeo 2024 and Rosa dei Venti Rosé on the white and rosé side.
Campania and the South: Ancient Varieties, Modern Winemaking
Campania is home to some of Italy's oldest native grapes — Aglianico, Greco, and Fiano — and the selection reflects that.
Greco di Tufo is in stock from Terre di Valter in both the 2023 and 2024 vintages ($20). This is one of Campania's most food-friendly whites, from volcanic soils in Irpinia.
Aglianico shows up in Terre Stregate Scrypta Sannio DOP 2020 ($26) — a structured, tannic red from the mountains of Campania.
Other Regions Worth Noting
- Umbria: Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Rosso 2021 ($25) — Sagrantino country, from the producer who more or less built the appellation's reputation.
- Sardinia: Audarya Cannonau di Sardegna 2021 ($24) and Capichera Lintori Vermentino 2024 ($23) — old-vine Grenache and one of Sardinia's most respected Vermentino producers.
- Alto Adige: Elena Walch Schiava 2024 ($23) and Kettmeir Pinot Nero 2023 ($30) — light, Alpine reds that most people have never tasted.
- Friuli: Gravner Ribolla Gialla 2016 ($146) — one of the most important natural wine producers in Italy, making skin-contact wines before it was a trend. Also Ronchi di Cialla Schioppettino 2019 ($68), a rare native red from the Cialla valley.
- Lombardia: Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta — both the Cuvée Prestige 48a Edizione ($48) and the Vintage Collection Dosage Zero 2020 ($76), plus a Magnum of the 47a Edizione ($93). Italy's answer to Champagne, from one of its best producers.
- Liguria: Punta Crena Pigato Vigneto Ca da Rena 2024 ($30) — a coastal white grape almost no one outside Italy knows, from a family producer in Savona.
- Abruzzo: Masciarelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2024 ($14) and the legendary Emidio Pepe Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2002 and 2008 ($291–$321) — from Italy's most famous natural wine producer.
