René Rostaing and his son Pierre are among the top producers of Côte-Rôtie in the Rhone Valley, known for terroir-driven Syrah and a restrained, classic approach. Ampodium is their flagship wine, sourced from multiple vineyards across the appellation, combining structure and finesse. Production is limited, and allocations are always small.

The 2023 Ampodium is a blend of 99% Syrah and 1% Viognier, aged in old barrels. Expect dark berries, black olive, violets, and a savory, peppery edge. The palate is layered, with high fine tannins and fresh acidity that give the wine both energy and balance. Already expressive, but built to age, this is a bottle that will develop over the next 10–15 years. Limited. Shop now!
