Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo Douro Unoaked 2024 is a fresh, expressive Douro red made without oak, allowing the region’s native grape varieties and schist soils to remain at the center of the wine.

Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão come together in a style driven by dark berries, plum and violet, with a mineral and slightly savory character underneath the fruit. The palate is concentrated but lively, with fresh acidity and firm yet polished tannins.

The absence of barrel aging is the key to its personality. Rather than adding vanilla or toast, the wine keeps its focus on fruit, structure and the natural character of the Douro. It is rich enough to satisfy lovers of fuller-bodied reds, but still energetic and easy to pair at the table.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled beef, lamb, pork, roasted chicken, sausages, mushroom dishes, hearty pasta, or aged cheeses.

Serve around 58–62°F. A short 20–30 minute decant can help the wine open when young.
