Penfolds RWT Bin 798 Shiraz 2020 is a powerful yet polished expression of Barossa Valley Shiraz, produced in a style that emphasizes ripe fruit, plush texture and fine tannins.

Blackberry, dark plum and blueberry lead the aromatic profile, followed by dark chocolate, espresso, roasted chestnut and subtle spice. The palate is dense and generous, with concentrated black fruit framed by velvety tannins and fresh acidity.

Maturation in French oak adds structure and complexity, bringing notes of mocha, cedar and spice without taking away from the fruit. Despite its richness, the wine remains balanced and remarkably precise.

The 2020 vintage is particularly impressive for combining intensity with polish. It is already expressive with sufficient air, but its concentration and tannin structure give it excellent long-term aging potential.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, venison, barbecue, mushrooms, or aged hard cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. If drinking now, decant for approximately 1–2 hours.
