Maugeri Etna Bianco Superiore Contrada Volpare 2024 is made entirely from Carricante grown at around 700 meters above sea level in Milo, on the eastern slope of Mount Etna.

The wine shows lemon, green apple and white peach, followed by white flowers, wet stone and a subtle herbal note. The palate is fresh and precise, with bright acidity, a lightly textured mid-palate and the saline, volcanic character that makes Carricante from Etna so distinctive.

Most of the wine is fermented in stainless steel, while a small portion is matured in large French oak tonneaux. Eight months on the fine lees add texture and depth without hiding the freshness or mineral profile of the variety.

Contrada Volpare gives a particularly elegant expression of Etna Bianco Superiore, combining citrus, tension and volcanic minerality with enough body to work very well at the table.

Food Pairing: Pair with oysters, grilled fish, scallops, shellfish, pasta with clams, roast chicken, or fresh goat cheese.

Serve around 50–54°F.
