Masia Salat Organic Cava Brut Nature is a traditional-method sparkling wine from Catalonia made from Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo grown under organic farming.

Green apple, pear and citrus are joined by white flowers, subtle bread dough and almond notes. The palate is light and refreshing, with fine bubbles, lively acidity and a clean, dry finish with a gentle saline character.

Extended aging on the lees adds a little texture and subtle yeasty complexity, while the Brut Nature dosage keeps the wine particularly crisp and allows the fruit and acidity to remain clearly defined.

I like this Cava because it delivers the freshness and dryness many customers are looking for in sparkling wine without becoming austere. It is straightforward, versatile and easy to use both as an aperitif and at the table.
