Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition is one of Champagne’s benchmark prestige cuvées. The 172ème Édition was composed around the 2016 harvest and brings together 146 wines from 11 different years, with wines ranging from 1998 to 2016. Reserve wines account for 42% of the final blend.

The blend is 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier. Around seven years of aging in Krug’s cellars contributes to the Champagne's remarkable depth, complexity and texture.

Expect an expressive and layered Champagne with aromas of citrus, dried fruit, flowers, marzipan and gingerbread, followed by notes of hazelnut, almond, brioche, honey and citrus on the palate.

Krug Grande Cuvée was created around Joseph Krug's vision of producing an exceptional Champagne every year, regardless of vintage variation. Each new Édition combines numerous wines and vintages to create a complexity that cannot be achieved with a single harvest.
