Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 comes from one of Napa Valley’s most historic single-vineyard Cabernet sites, planted in 1968 on a south-facing hillside of light volcanic ash.

Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry lead the aromatic profile, followed by graphite, violet, dried herbs, smoke and earthy mineral notes. The palate is powerful and concentrated, yet the tannins are remarkably fine and integrated, giving the wine impressive depth without making it feel heavy.

Volcanic Hill is the warmest of Diamond Creek’s vineyard sites and traditionally produces the estate’s most structured and long-lived Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2021 combines that natural power with exceptional balance and precision, making it a wine built for extended aging.

This is a collector’s Napa Cabernet, but not one defined only by size or richness. Its strength comes from the combination of concentration, mineral character, acidity and tannin structure.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, dry-aged beef, braised short ribs, lamb, venison, porcini mushrooms, or aged hard cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. If drinking young, decant for approximately 1–2 hours. Ideally, allow additional bottle age for the wine to fully develop.
