Château Langoa Barton 2016 is a Third Growth Saint-Julien from an excellent Bordeaux vintage, combining Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in a structured yet increasingly refined style.

Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry are joined by cedar, licorice, tobacco and subtle floral notes. The palate is concentrated and energetic, with fine but persistent tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish marked by dark fruit and savory spice.

The 2016 vintage gave Langoa Barton unusual depth and precision. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone and cassis character, while Merlot adds flesh and roundness and Cabernet Franc contributes aromatic lift.

Now entering a very attractive drinking stage, the wine is beginning to show greater integration while still retaining the structure to age for many more years.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, braised short ribs, mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. If drinking now, decant for approximately 45–60 minutes.
