Château Desmirail 2016 is a Third Growth Margaux from an excellent Bordeaux vintage, combining the appellation’s aromatic elegance with a more structured and concentrated style.

Blackberry, cassis and ripe plum lead the aromatic profile, followed by violet, cedar, tobacco and subtle spice. With bottle age, the fruit has begun to integrate with more savory notes, giving the wine additional complexity while retaining freshness.

The palate is medium to full-bodied, with polished tannins and a supple texture. Merlot gives the wine generosity and roundness, while Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure, freshness and the classic graphite and cassis character associated with the Médoc.

The 2016 is now entering a very attractive drinking stage, showing mature Bordeaux character while still having enough structure to continue developing in bottle.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, veal, mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. If drinking now, decant for approximately 30–45 minutes.
