Château Angélus 2019 is an exceptional Saint-Émilion built around Merlot and Cabernet Franc, combining the estate’s characteristic richness with remarkable precision and freshness.

Black cherry, blackberry and plum lead the aromatic profile, followed by violet, graphite, cedar, subtle spice and a touch of menthol. As the wine opens, more savory notes of earth, tobacco and dried flowers begin to emerge.

The palate is concentrated yet beautifully controlled. Ripe dark fruit is framed by exceptionally fine, silky tannins, while the Cabernet Franc brings freshness, perfume and tension through the long finish.

The 2019 is particularly impressive for the way it balances power with elegance. It has the depth expected from Angélus without feeling excessively heavy, and although already expressive with sufficient air, it has the structure to develop beautifully for decades.

Food Pairing: Pair with beef tenderloin, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, truffle dishes, wild mushrooms, or aged Comté.

Serve around 60–64°F. If drinking now, decant for approximately 1½–2 hours.
