Champagne Julien Prélat Presle Blanc de Blancs is produced from 100% Chardonnay grown on Kimmeridgian soils in Celles-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar.
The wine opens with white flowers, green apple and pear, followed by lemon peel and a subtle chalky character. On the palate, the low dosage keeps the profile dry and focused, with fine bubbles, bright citrus acidity and a clean mineral finish.
Presle captures a more precise side of Côte des Bar Chardonnay. Rather than emphasizing richness or toast, the wine is driven by freshness, white fruit and the tension that comes from its limestone-rich soils.
With only a few thousand bottles produced per release, it is also an excellent introduction to Julien Prélat’s parcel-focused approach to grower Champagne.
Food Pairing: Pair with oysters, scallops, sushi, sashimi, grilled white fish, crab, shrimp, tempura, goat cheese, or simply serve as an aperitif.
Serve around 46–50°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or small white-wine glass.
