Frerejean Frères Blanc de Blancs Grande Réserve is a distinctive non-vintage Champagne from the Côte des Blancs, made entirely from Chardonnay sourced from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards.
Built predominantly around the 2016 harvest with older reserve wines, the Champagne benefits from unusually long cellar aging, giving it considerably more depth and maturity than a typical non-vintage Blanc de Blancs.
Lemon zest, crisp apple and white peach lead the aromatic profile, followed by white flowers, toasted almond and warm brioche. The palate has a creamy texture and very fine mousse, while a chalky, saline character provides freshness and precision.
The extended maturation is particularly evident in the balance between youthful citrus fruit and more developed pastry and nutty notes. It has enough freshness for an aperitif but also the structure and complexity to work beautifully at the table.
Food Pairing: Pair with oysters, scallops, langoustines, sole meunière, lobster, roast poultry, mushroom dishes, or aged Comté.
Serve around 48–52°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or white-wine glass.
