From Champagne, France, Drappier Grande Sendrée 2015 is a vintage Champagne made from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay grown in Urville on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Aromas of ripe pear, yellow peach, dried apricot, orange peel, brioche, toasted almond, vanilla, and light spice lead to a dry palate with fine mousse, medium-plus acidity, layered fruit, and a low dosage of approximately 4 g/L. The finish carries citrus, toasted bread, hazelnut, and chalky mineral notes. This Champagne was also served during the last G7 Summit in Évian, France, adding a relevant prestige reference for collectors and Champagne lovers.
Pair with scallop carpaccio, lobster, roasted poultry, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, truffle dishes, or Brillat-Savarin.
