Cartuxa Pêra-Manca White 2022 is one of the reference white wines of Alentejo, produced in Évora from Arinto and Antão Vaz grown on granitic soils.

The wine shows white peach, citrus peel and orchard fruit alongside subtle floral, mineral and smoky notes. The palate has both concentration and freshness, with a creamy texture from extended lees aging balanced by the natural acidity of Arinto. The finish is long, dry and gently savory.

Part of the wine ferments in French oak while the remainder is fermented in stainless steel, followed by twelve months on the fine lees with regular bâtonnage. This gives Pêra-Manca depth and texture without allowing the oak to dominate the character of the fruit.

The combination of Antão Vaz and Arinto is particularly effective here: Antão Vaz contributes body and ripe fruit, while Arinto brings acidity, citrus character and structure. The result is a Portuguese white with enough complexity and concentration to develop further in bottle.

Food Pairing: Pair with lobster, grilled prawns, cod, roasted sea bass, richer seafood dishes, roast chicken, pork, creamy rice dishes, or semi-aged cheeses.

Serve around 50–54°F.
