Six bottles from some of Bordeaux’s most established names, covering both banks, a dry white, and a mature Sauternes.

Château Carbonnieux Blanc Pessac‑Léognan 2023: A Classified Growth of Graves and one of the region’s historic white wine estates. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, partly barrel fermented, expect citrus, texture, and great length. Pair with stone crab or grouper.
Château Cantemerle Haut‑Médoc 2019: A 5th Growth in the 1855 Classification, located in Macau at the southern edge of the Médoc. Cabernet Sauvignon-led, with the ripeness and structure of a strong vintage.
Château Fombrauge Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru 2019: Located in Saint‑Émilion, planted on clay and limestone. Merlot driven, with plush dark fruit and soft tannins.
Château Marjosse Rouge 2022: The family estate of Pierre Lurton, who also runs Château Cheval Blanc and Château d’Yquem. Merlot based, approachable now, and a weeknight bottle with real pedigree.
Château Gloria Saint‑Julien 2020: Built by Henri Martin from parcels of neighboring classified estates, Gloria was never part of the 1855 Classification but is regularly tasted alongside it. Cabernet Sauvignon led, with dark fruit, tobacco notes, and a very long finish. Made for steak on the grill.
Château Clos Haut‑Peyraguey Sauternes 2005: A First Growth Sauternes from Bommes. At twenty years old, expect dried apricot, honey, and marmalade notes, still lifted by elevated acidity. Serve with foie gras or blue cheese.
