Vega Sicilia Único 2014 is one of Spain’s great collectible wines, produced from Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the historic Vega Sicilia estate in Ribera del Duero.

The wine combines dark cherry, black plum and cassis with cedar, tobacco, dried herbs, licorice and subtle leather. The palate is deep and concentrated, yet remarkably refined, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and layers of savory complexity that continue through a very long finish.

What distinguishes Único is its extraordinary aging process. The wine spends years moving between French and American oak barrels, larger wooden vats and bottle before release, allowing the fruit, tannins and oak to become completely integrated.

The 2014 is particularly impressive for its balance. It has the depth expected from Vega Sicilia, but also freshness and finesse, making it powerful without feeling heavy.

Although already beautiful to drink, this is a wine built for decades of further evolution.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, venison, braised short ribs, game birds, porcini mushrooms, truffle dishes, or aged Manchego.

Serve around 62–64°F. If opening now, decant carefully for approximately one hour.
