Amiral de Beychevelle 2020 is the second wine of Château Beychevelle, produced from dedicated vineyard parcels in Saint-Julien and presented here in the 1.5-liter magnum format.

The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot with small proportions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Aromas of red cherry, blackcurrant and plum are joined by violet, cedar and warm spice. The palate is structured but polished, with fresh fruit, silky tannins and a savory finish.

The 2020 vintage combines concentration with freshness particularly well. Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine its structure and length, while Merlot brings roundness and a more immediate fruit character.

The magnum format is especially attractive for this style of Bordeaux. It slows the evolution of the wine in bottle and makes it an excellent choice for cellaring, larger dinners or gifting.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast beef, grilled ribeye, lamb, duck, braised short ribs, mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. Decant for approximately 45–60 minutes when drinking now.
