Amalia Vineyard Alliance Brut Rosé Espumante is a traditional-method sparkling wine from Bairrada, made entirely from Baga, one of Portugal’s most distinctive native red grapes.
Fresh strawberry and cherry lead the aromatic profile, followed by raspberry, dried orange peel and a subtle savory note. The palate is lively and dry, with fine bubbles, bright acidity and enough structure from the Baga grape to give the wine more presence than a simple sparkling rosé.
Baga is usually known for structured red wines, but when harvested earlier it retains the acidity and freshness needed for sparkling wine. Here, that natural tension combines with bottle fermentation and lees aging to create a rosé with both fruit and texture.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked salmon, grilled shrimp, charcuterie, roast chicken, pork, flaky fish, puff pastry dishes, or soft cheeses.
Serve chilled around 46–50°F in a tulip-shaped sparkling-wine or white-wine glass.
