Vignoble Edmond Latour Vacqueyras 2023 is a classic Southern Rhône blend built around Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre adding structure and spice.

The wine opens with blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum, followed by black pepper, dried herbs and the savory notes of rosemary, thyme and sage that are so characteristic of the region’s garrigue.

The palate is generous without becoming heavy, with ripe fruit, moderate tannins and enough freshness to keep the wine balanced. Grenache gives the wine its warmth and fruit, Syrah adds darker spice and structure, while Mourvèdre brings a subtle savory edge.

Vacqueyras often delivers much of the character associated with Châteauneuf-du-Pape at a more approachable price, and this is a very good example of that value.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled lamb, roast pork, sausages, beef stew, barbecue, ratatouille, or aged cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. A short 20–30 minute decant will help the wine open.
