Papagiannakos Assyrtiko 2025 comes from Attica, near Markopoulo, offering a different expression of Assyrtiko from the volcanic wines of Santorini.
Lemon, lime and mandarin lead the aromatic profile, followed by white flowers and a subtle nutty note. The palate is dry and crisp, with refreshing acidity, gentle texture and a chalky mineral character that carries through the finish.
Attica’s limestone soils give the wine freshness and definition, while stainless-steel fermentation keeps the fruit and mineral character clear and precise. The result is an approachable Assyrtiko that retains the grape’s natural acidity without becoming overly austere.
Food Pairing: Pair with oysters, grilled shrimp, white fish, calamari, sushi, Greek salads, roast chicken, or dishes with lemon and fresh herbs.
Serve around 48–52°F.
