Trimbach Alsace Pinot Blanc 2023 is a dry white from one of Alsace’s historic family producers, made in a fresh and straightforward style that emphasizes fruit, acidity and versatility at the table.
Pear, yellow apple and apricot are joined by white flowers, lemon and subtle herbal notes. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with bright acidity providing freshness and a clean, precise finish.
Vinification in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation helps preserve the fruit and natural acidity, giving the wine a crisp profile without losing the softer texture typically associated with Alsace Pinot Blanc.
I find this a very versatile Alsace white. It has enough fruit and texture to be enjoyed on its own, but the freshness and restrained aromatic character make it particularly useful with food. It is an easy introduction to the dry white wines of Alsace without being overly aromatic or rich.
Food Pairing: Pair with shellfish, grilled fish, roast chicken, pork, salads, quiche, light pasta dishes, charcuterie, or soft cheeses.
Serve around 45–50°F.
