Tempo d’Angélus 2024 offers a more immediate expression of the Angélus style, produced from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on clay-limestone vineyards near Saint-Émilion.
Merlot leads the blend, bringing ripe plum, black cherry and blackberry, while Cabernet Franc contributes violet, pepper and subtle herbal spice. The palate is supple and energetic, with polished tannins, fresh acidity and a savory finish.
Rather than aiming for the density or long aging required by Château Angélus itself, Tempo is designed around accessibility and freshness. The 2024 vintage shows that approach clearly, with generous fruit, floral character and a smooth texture that make the wine enjoyable relatively young.
It is an excellent introduction to the Angélus family of wines for customers looking for polished Bordeaux character at a much more approachable price.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast chicken, duck, grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, pork, or semi-aged cheeses.
Serve around 60–64°F. A short 20–30 minute decant will help the fruit and floral notes open.
