Borgogno No Name 2023 is a 100% Nebbiolo from vineyards within the Barolo area, released under the Langhe Nebbiolo denomination as part of Borgogno’s well-known protest against the bureaucracy of wine classification.

The wine shows red cherry, cranberry and dried raspberry alongside rose, violet, blood orange and subtle spice. With time in large Slavonian oak, additional notes of cedar, tobacco and black tea begin to emerge.

The palate is structured but refined, with fresh acidity and fine Nebbiolo tannins carrying the red fruit and floral character through a long, savory finish.

No Name offers an unusual combination: the vineyard origins and traditional élevage associated with Barolo, but in a wine intended to be more approachable in its youth. It is a compelling choice for customers who enjoy Nebbiolo and want to explore a less conventional expression from one of Barolo’s historic producers.

Food Pairing: Pair with braised beef, veal, roast lamb, duck, tajarin with ragù, mushroom dishes, truffle preparations, or aged Piedmontese cheeses.

Serve around 60–64°F. A 30–45 minute decant will help the aromatics and tannins open.
