Borgogno No Name 2020 is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Langhe, presented here in the collectible 1.5-liter magnum format.
Red cherry, raspberry and blood orange lead the aromatic profile, followed by rose, violet, licorice and gentle spice. With extended aging in large Slavonian oak, the wine also develops notes of tobacco, dried herbs and subtle earthy character.
The palate is dry and structured, with Nebbiolo’s characteristic acidity and firm but refined tannins carrying the red fruit through a long, savory finish.
No Name has one of the more unusual stories in Piedmont. The wine is produced from Nebbiolo grown around Barolo, but Borgogno deliberately releases it as Langhe Nebbiolo, turning the label itself into a statement about wine classification.
The magnum format adds another dimension, allowing the wine to evolve more slowly and making it particularly suitable for collectors, larger dinners or extended cellaring.
Food Pairing: Pair with braised beef, veal, roast lamb, duck, tajarin with ragù, porcini mushrooms, truffle dishes, or aged Piedmontese cheeses.
Serve around 60–64°F. A 45–60 minute decant is recommended when drinking now.
