Typesetter Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 comes from Napa Valley and is built primarily around Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec adding aromatic complexity and structure.
Black cherry, blackberry and cassis lead the nose, followed by violet, cedar, cigar box and subtle vanilla. The palate is rich and concentrated, with polished tannins, dark berry fruit, cocoa and spice carrying through a long finish.
The wine spent 24 months in French oak, half of it new, which adds texture and notes of vanilla and mocha without losing the Cabernet’s darker fruit and savory character. With less than 1,000 cases produced, this is a relatively small-production Napa Cabernet offering considerable depth for its price.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, New York strip, braised short ribs, lamb chops, roast beef, mushroom dishes or aged cheddar.
Serve around 60–64°F. Decant for approximately 30–45 minutes if drinking now.
