From Rioja DOCa, Spain, Carlos Serres Gran Reserva 2017 is a traditional Rioja red wine made from Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo. Aromas of red cherry, black plum, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, dried orange peel, clove, and leather lead to a dry palate with medium-plus acidity, firm tannins, and oak-derived spice from extended aging. The finish carries notes of dried red fruit, savory herbs, and toasted wood.

Pair with roasted lamb, grilled steak, braised short ribs, mushroom dishes, aged Manchego, or chorizo-based tapas.
