Gorghi Tondi Maremeo Sauvignon Blanc 2024 comes from southwestern Sicily, near Mazara del Vallo, where sandy, calcareous soils and Mediterranean sea breezes give the variety a distinctly coastal personality.

Lime, passion fruit and peach lead the aromatic profile, followed by a subtle spicy note and a gentle saline character. The palate is fresh and lively, with bright acidity balanced by a little extra texture from five months of aging on the lees.

This is a very different expression of Sauvignon Blanc from the intensely herbaceous styles associated with cooler regions. The Sicilian sunshine brings ripe fruit and generosity, while the proximity to the sea preserves freshness and gives the wine a savory, Mediterranean edge.

Food Pairing: Pair with grilled shrimp, calamari, shellfish, ceviche, ricotta, goat cheese, vegetable dishes, grilled fish, or light chicken preparations.

Serve chilled around 50–54°F.
